Hanna Casement

hanna casement 1

Hanna has been teaching Yoga since completing a 500 hour training with Yoga Scotland in 2000 and has been studying and practicing Yoga for the last 30 years. She also studied Tibetan Buddhist meditation for most of this time and has a grounded understanding of how to help people begin to calm their mind, especially while practicing Yoga.

Hanna was a long-time student of Akong Rinpoche and it was at his request that she began teaching workshops at Samye-Ling.

The basis of Hanna's teaching is from Hatha yoga but is heavily influenced by her studies that she undertook in Viniyoga, Vinyasa Krama and Scaravelli inspired yoga with some of the leading teachers in these fields.

Hanna has also studied and practiced various bodywork therapies over the years, the knowledge of which all contribute to her teaching. More recently she has trained as a practitioner in sound healing with tuning forks and this has deepened her understanding of her studies in Nada yoga, the yoga of sound, which she will often bring into her workshops.

More information on Hanna's background and training can be found on her website www.nurturingwellness-hannacasement.co.uk
