Clive Holmes returns to Samye Ling to present this course on Buddhist Refuge. Suitable for beginners and those new to meditation, this weekend also includes a valuable opportunity to take refuge, or to renew vows, with Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche.

Compassion

The focus of the weekend will be on how to bring more compassion and understanding into our lives.

Four Immeasurable Qualities

Especially in these difficult times, we can find ways to increase the four immeasurable qualities of calm, kindness, compassion and joy. How to awaken courage and resilience will also be included.

Finding Genuine Refuge

Refuge will be explained and on Sunday morning there will be a  refuge ceremony, including an opportunity to renew vows, with Lama Yeshe Rinpoche.

If you would like to take refuge please send an email to reception@samyeling.org.

Meditation

Instructions will be given on walking meditation and how to visualise. Time will be used beneficially by meditating together.
