We are very fortunate to have another chance to receive teachings from Khenpo Phurpa Wangchuk.
Course duration
Khenpo’s teaching begins on 16th September and finishes on 12th November – we are pleased to advise that this has been extended from the original finish date of 1st November. Please also note that these teachings will not take place during the Khyabje Akong Memorial Retreat, from 8th to 15th October.
Teaching schedule
There will be three teaching sessions each day, at 8am to 9am, 5pm to 6pm and 7pm to 8pm.
Teaching topics
Monday to Friday – Abhidharma
Earlier this year, Khenpo Karma Drodul taught Abhidharma as it is presented by His Holiness the 9th Gyalwang Karmapa in his text ‘The Essence of the Great Ocean of Abhidharma’. Khenpo Drodul completed the first two chapters of this text and from Monday to Friday Khenpo Phurpa Wangchuk will continue teaching from Chapter 3 of the same text – a rare opportunity to receive in-depth teachings on this topic outside of a traditional Shedra / Dharma College setting.
Saturday and Sunday – Shinnay Meditation
Every weekend Khenpo Phurpa Wangchuk will give instructions on tranquility meditation – an excellent opportunity to learn from a genuine and experienced practitioner.
Khenpo Phurpa Wangchuk was very much appreciated on his previous visit due to his sincere and well-informed teaching style which is easy to understand and extremely helpful for practitioners wishing to apply the dharma teachings to their lives.
Availability
For those with little time, it is possible to attend just one teaching to make a connection. Alternatively if you would like to attend for a weekend, a number of days (or whatever time you have), you can do so.
