Tsurlug does not collect, store, or share any personal data. This policy explains in full what the app does and does not do with your information.
About This App
Tsurlug is a Tibetan Buddhist lunar calendar app produced by Kagyu Samye Ling, based on the Tsurphu astrological tradition. It is available for iOS and Android.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal information of any kind
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
- Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us
- Any user-generated content
The app does not require an account, login, or registration of any kind.
Local Storage
Calendar data is stored locally on your device using your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. It is used solely to allow the app to function offline.
Network Requests
The app makes a single network request to check whether an updated version of the calendar database is available.
No information about you, your device, or your usage is sent with this request. If an update is available, the new calendar data is downloaded and stored locally on your device.
This request is handled by GitHub Pages, which is operated by GitHub, Inc. You can review GitHub’s privacy policy at docs.github.com. GitHub may log standard server access data (such as IP address) as part of normal web server operation. We have no access to these logs.
External Links
The app contains links to Kagyu Samye Ling’s website (samyeling.org) and Facebook page. These open in your device’s default browser.
Children’s Privacy
Tsurlug does not collect any data from any users, including children. The app is suitable for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Given the nature of this app, we do not anticipate any material changes.
