Abbot Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche will conduct this Refuge Ceremony.

The Ceremony & Precepts

Anyone who wishes to formally take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha is welcome to participate.

  • Participation: While mainly intended for those taking refuge for the first time, those wishing to renew or confirm their existing commitment are most welcome.

  • Precepts: There will also be an opportunity to take new precepts or renew any you already have.

Booking & Information

  • Taking Refuge: If you are taking refuge for the first time, please inform the Reception Office at reception@samyeling.org.

  • If you have already taken refuge: You are welcome to attend to renew your refuge commitment and/or to take or renew Precepts.
  • Accommodation & Meals: To book lunch or overnight accommodation, please contact bookings@samyeling.org.

  • Exact time will be confirmed later

Attendance & Donations

There is no charge for participating in this ceremony. For those who wish to support the Monastery’s ongoing costs, donations are gratefully accepted at the Samye Ling Reception Office.
