Clive Holmes returns to Samye Ling to present this course on Buddhist Refuge. Suitable for beginners and those new to meditation, the weekend explores the transition from temporary distractions toward a stable, long-term foundation for inner peace.
Finding Genuine Refuge
In modern society, it is common to seek refuge in distractions, entertainment, and materialistic pursuits. However, these provide only short-term relief rather than ultimate security. This course examines the Buddhist definition of Nirvana as “disillusionment”—the process of clearing away illusions to find a more authentic way of living.
