Khenpo Jamyang Lodro

Khenpo Jamyang was born in Tsawa Gang, in Eastern Tibet on 9th May, 1979 to Yonten and Konchok Tso.

At a young age, he joined Ko Hong Monastery where he studied rituals and practices. In 2000 he came to the sacred land of India and joined Palpung Sherabling Monastery and received Getsul and Gelong vows from His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche.

At Palpung Sherabling Monastery’s Shedra (Monastic College), he progressed from the first grade through to the eighth and was then appointed as a Teaching Assistant.

In 2010, having completed ten years of study, he became the Shedra’s Khenpo and Discipline Master.  After completing his studies of Sutra, Tantra, philosophical systems, and religious history, he served as a Lopön and Khenpo for six years and was awarded the title of Khenpo Rabjampa.

Following this he served His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje for one year, after which he then served as the Director of Palpung Monlam Department for five years.

Khenpo Jamyang has received explanations, instructions, and secret instructions on the unique secret mantras from Khenpos and Geshes of the four major religious traditions. Currently, he teaches tantra at Palpung Sherabling Monastery.
