Akong A Remarkable Life

2 Jan 2016

Film titleDear Friends, we hope you had a wonderful Christmas….. now we have some New Year Good News for you!!!

Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche has checked the Tibetan calendar for an auspicious date and decided that we will have

the International Premiere of “Akong – a Remarkable Life” on

Thursday 24th March 2016 in Samye Ling.

There will be a special event in the new Samye College Lecture Hall  hosted by Akong Rinpoche’s brother, Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche.

We want to thank everyone who has helped make it possible to tell the world this inspirational story of Akong Rinpoche’s amazing life dedicated to Compassion in Action.

“Akong – a Remarkable Life” will not be made available for general release until we have taken it to selected film festivals, but in the coming weeks we will contact

our sponsors and supporters with an invitation to witness the first screening of the film.

There is still much work to be done!

The film’s Executive Producer, Vin Harris is working with a small team of volunteers to plan for the screening and distribution of the film.

The film’s Director, Chico Dall'Inha and his team have already given so much of their time and energy to bring this ambitious project to completion.

Chico is now really busy with final editing, sourcing archive images, preparing soundtracks and creating the finished look and feel of the film.

How Can You Help?

So far it has been amazing to see how friends of Akong Rinpoche have been willing to contribute their expertise, resources and generous donations.

We are nearly there but we do need more money to finish and distribute the film!

When it is released all revenues will be donated to the Akong Memorial Foundation.

If you want to be part of this project to honour the life of the 2nd Akong Tulku and provide support for the 3rd Akong Tulku but have not yet done anything about it

Now is the Time to Act

If you have any questions please do contact us.

Thank You!
