Wudang Shan was given the honour of "number one Holy Mountain under Heaven" by Emperor Zhudi, fourth son of the founder of the Ming Dynasty and has been the cradle of Taoism for over 1000 years. Credence is also given to Wudang as the birthplace of Taijiquan.
Bob Lowey is the General Secretary of South Wudang Taoist Association (Hubei, China) in Scotland that was founded by his teacher, Grand Master You Xuande, Abbot of the three Gods Temple and one of the foremost and most revered authorities on Taoism and Wudang Martial Arts in China.
Over 2 weekends Bob will teach one of the oldest Forms of Wudang Taiji: "Jian Hua" or "Simple 36 Posture Form".
The course is applicable to all levels, that is, complete beginners to established Teachers. The first weekend of the 8th - 10th January 2010 will provide the background of Wudang Taijiquan and the fundamentals of the Form. The second weekend of the 10th - 12th September will be completion and consolidation of this beautiful Taiji Form. You are welcome to attend both weekends or just one as each of these weekend courses is also a stand-alone course in itself.
